Do you volunteer? Would you like to develop useful skills to help your volunteering and learn how to make the most of your volunteering experience with potential employers? Run by the Global Skills Project, a volunteer consortium of young professionals in London, these interactive workshops will help you build on existing skills and develop new ones.
Workshop 3 looks at how to talk about your volunteering experiences in CVs and Covering Letters. Talking about yourself and promoting your experiences as a volunteer doesn't come naturally to many volunteers. However, you learn a lot being a volunteer and your experience is valuable to employers. Based on a fictional vacancy at an international charity, you will review different approaches and debate the most effective ways to use your volunteering experience to get a job you love.
