Students' Union

The Students’ Union at SOAS is the representative body for all SOAS Students, with access to high level School management and membership on the School’s Governing Body. It is a democratic charity run by students, for students, to make sure that students have a say in their education at SOAS and get the most of their time here. The student officers and staff work hard to ensure that all students’ voices are heard, be they international, home, part time or full time.

The Union spaces with in the School are a bustling and diverse environment offering support and a safe space for all students.  The Union runs the bar in SOAS (at the Russell Square campus), two common rooms (one at each of the campus’s) and also the Snack Bar at Russell Square, which is a good place to buy cheap stationary and coffee.

The Union runs events for student, from live music to political debate, and also provide rooms, funding and support for over 100 clubs and societies, from sports teams to tea-drinking (and everything in-between).  If they don’t currently have a society for your particular interest, they can help you set up your own!

SOAS Union is for the students – existing to give you a voice, entertain you and help you get involved!
