When is Welcome Week?
It takes place from Monday 24 September to Friday 28 September 2012.
What happens during Welcome Week?
A variety of events and activities will take place during the week to help you to settle in to your new life at SOAS. They include the following:
- International Students' Orientation
- Enrolment
- Faculty and Departmental talks and welcome meetings
- Walking tours of SOAS and the local area
- Practical talks on study tips, how to manage your money etc.
- Social activities and the Students’ Union Freshers’ Fayre
- Research Students' Orientation
Why take part?
It is essential that you attend the events arranged during Welcome Week. By joining in as many activities as possible you can make new friends, familiarise yourself with the School, start making the most of your university experience and, of course, have fun!
Parents and guardians who attend Welcome Week with new students are welcome to pick up a free tea/coffee voucher from any student ambassador.
