Changing your Degree Programme

If you wish to change your overall Degree programme, you will need to apply to the Registry.
Before you make any decision, you should read the section of this website on Interrupting, Changing or Withdrawing from a Course.

If you wish to proceed, you will need to complete the Degree Transfer Form. Sections 1, 2 and 3 must be completed by you and you must then obtain academic approval from the Admissions Tutor, who will complete section 4.  Details of the Admissions Tutor can be obtained from your Faculty Office.

Once you have the full form completed, you must submit it to your Faculty Office.

The final decision will be made by the Registry, who will notify you of the outcome by email to your SOAS email account.

You are advised to obtain this approval of your change of Programme before you complete your registration for your current programme.

Once you have received the approval, you will need to complete the online enrolment process, including selecting the courses for your new programme.  You must do this, even if you have already registered for the 2013/14 year of your current programme.

Please note that for Postgraduate programmes, a change of programme may involve a change in your fees.  You will need to contact our fees  team on fees@soas.ac.uk to enquire of any fee implications.
