Biography

Angela Haynes joined AGRUMIG as Project Manager on 1 March 2019. She is currently completing a PhD at the University of Sussex examining diaspora volunteering in Africa, having previously worked as Research Uptake Manager on the Sussex-led Migrating out of Poverty Research Programme Consortium. She has experience of managing programmes in a number of international non-governmental organisations and has undertaken consultancy roles in the sector, particularly on themes related to issues of civil society organisation capacity building, diversity and development, and demand side governance. Angela has also taught undergraduate and postgraduate modules on international development in practice in several universities including SOAS, and currently teaches a module on NGO Project Management in Richmond University. She has degrees from the London School of Economics, SOAS, and the University of Kent.
