Historians of Bengali literature have created a category called “Nāth literature”, which consists of several late medieval works of various genres. Scholars believe that the existence of these texts demonstrates the significant and long-term presence of the Nāths in Bengal, and that the Nāth teachings on yoga have profoundly influenced other religious traditions in this region. In his talk, Lubomír Ondračka will question both of these views.
