About this event

Canon Andrew Ball and Christian Dixon

The previous decade has been a brutal one for Christians across Asia and Africa. The murder of 21 Coptic Christians in Libya and Da’esh’s genocide in northern Iraq have been some of the most widely reported on events, but it is difficult for us to imagine these conditions, or to find ways to provide tangible support. Canon Andrew Ball and Christian Dixon will discuss past responses to persecution and how we should respond to future challenges.

Canon Anthony Ball is currently serving as a Canon of Westminster Abbey and has served with the Diplomatic Service and the Anglican Communion in Egypt, Kuwait, Spain and Syria.

Christian Dixon has recently graduated from SOAS with a BA in Arabic and the Study of Religions and has spent time in Turkey and Iraq, researching the situation of displaced indigenous Christians.
