Biography
Ms Sandra Sattler is a doctoral candidate at SOAS working on the iconography of fierce goddesses. She holds a BA and an MA with distinction in Indology, both from Goettingen University, Germany, where she was a Research Associate in the Department of Indology and Tibetan Studies for many years. She has lectured at Goettingen University, the University of Muenster as well as Ghent University.
Sandra is a Fulbright alumna (South Asian Studies, UC Berkeley) and current CHASE AHRC scholar. Her research focuses on the Goddess tradition in India, North Indian sculpture, Purāṇas, and text-image relations.
