School Governance
Under the School's Charter and Standing Orders, Governing Body has absolute authority within the School with overall responsibility for the general supervision, direction and control of all aspects of the School. SOAS has a committee structure reporting to Governing Body. The central management, guidance and co-ordination of the School’s activities, in conjunction with SOAS’s Governing Body, is provided by the Director and Executive Board.
SOAS’ Professional and Support Services are divided into the following directorates:
- Global Engagement
- Human Resources
- Information and Technology
- Legal and Governance
- Library and Learning Services
- Marketing, Student Recruitment and Admissions
- Registry
- Research and Enterprise
- Resources and Planning (incorporating Estates and Facilities, Finance, and Planning)
- Student and Academic Services (incorporating Careers, and Student Advice and Wellbeing)
