Experiences at SOAS have helped me in so many ways in my career.

Pwint Phyu Maung studied for a Postgraduate Diploma in Asian Art at SOAS and is now working for Zaykabar Museum in Myanmar.

Why did you choose SOAS?

SOAS is one of the best universities to study art history in Europe. I applied for a postgraduate diploma in Asian Art and it was really amazing.

What did you enjoy most about your course?

What I enjoyed the most about my course was visiting private collections, art markets, galleries and museums. It was also a privilege to access handling sessions and lectures by experienced scholars.

Can you tell us about the work you do now and how you got there.

I am working for a private museum here in my home country called Zaykabar Museum. After finishing my course, I applied for a vacancy at the museum.

How has your experience at SOAS helped you in your career?

Experiences at SOAS have helped me in so many ways in my career. Especially, social relations and experiences of academic study life taught me how to deal with the daily routine of my career.

What advice would you give to students thinking about studying at SOAS?

Personally, I would like to give advice to take a Diploma course under the School of Arts.
