BA History of Art/Archaeology and Tibetan
I came to SOAS looking to complete a joint degree in History of Art/Archaeology and Tibetan. At a young age, I developed a strong and ever-growing passion for Tibet, along with an interest in art and architecture. When I heard about SOAS I immediately knew it was the school for me. An institution like SOAS is the ideal platform for students who want to learn a language and gain insight into a culture. It is also a leading school in Tibetan studies.
Both the lectures on Tibet and those on History of Art are incredibly enriching, as they complement each other granting the student a very thorough understanding of the artistic tendencies, archaeological findings and historical happenings of the areas being studied. Furthermore, when you attend SOAS you do not only learn during your classes, but also while you engage in fascinating conversations with the diverse student body.
I hope to continue on to complete higher studies in the future, with the aim of becoming an architectural and art historian specialising in Tibet and Inner Asia.
