LLB Law

Having been born, raised and educated in Singapore, SOAS was my first experience of studying overseas. SOAS has certainly exceeded my expectations. What distinguishes SOAS from other leading universities is the variety of law modules that it offers, ranging from Law and Nature to Chinese Law. It meant that I could pursue subjects I was genuinely interested in.

"Challenged my thoughts"

SOAS certainly does not disappoint in terms of the depth and width covered in these and the other subjects. Studying at SOAS constantly challenged my thoughts and honed my analytical skills. While the rigorous curriculum meant that the going can get tough, I am extremely grateful to have had the support of my tutors. They were always willing to help, during and beyond ‘office hours’. It is this genuine care for their students, combined with their academic expertise that allowed me to achieve stellar grades throughout my years at SOAS.

"Student experience"

Beyond the SOAS School of Law, you will find an unparalleled student experience. The open-mindedness of the student body meant that I could freely explore different extra-curricular activities. I co-founded the SOAS Canadian Society and gained a deeper insight into Canadian culture, history and politics. I also participated actively in SOAS Against Human Trafficking, SOAS Hiking Society and SOAS Korean Society. The diversity of extra-curricular activities in which I participated have shaped me and given me a greater appreciation of the wider world.

"Scholarship"

Graduating from SOAS this year, I am confident in proceeding with my future endeavours. I have received a full scholarship to study a Masters in Business Administration in Zhejiang University, China. SOAS has undoubtedly laid a strong foundation for me in my future pursuits.
