I am currently in my second year, studying the LLB Law Programme. My favourite part of the discipline is learning the processes and philosophies that have shaped the society I live in.
SOAS is such a melting pot of cultures, nationalities and identities. I’ve learnt so much from the perspectives that I am surrounded by, which encourage me to challenge my own thinking. This has helped me develop my thought process and ideas in a way that I will always be grateful for.
I am most passionate about people, the way we engage with each other and how we can all try to reach our potential. I think conversation and debate is the best method of learning. The oral tradition is so accessible to those both within and outside of academia. Investing time in talking to people with different experiences and viewpoints is the best way to develop ourselves as people.
