Sumaiya Fatine.BA History and Politics..To describe studying at SOAS in one word, I would say it’s ‘wacked-out-insane’. Where else, on an average day, would you have the history lecturer bring in a genuine Mongol bow, to demonstrate in front of the students? The passion of the staff and the students is almost palpable: whether in lectures or in the common room it’s not difficult to catch a stimulating conversation…SOAS is not just an educational institution, but also a big, multi-cultural, multi-faith, happy family. Like a jigsaw puzzle, everyone has a place here at SOAS, fitting together to make this university wonderful…Being at SOAS has opened endless windows of opportunities and, when I leave with a degree under my belt, I know that I will be ready for the world. But will the world be ready for me?
