'Camel Cultures: Historical Traditions, Present Threats, and Future Prospects'

Following our previous successful conferences (2011, 2013 and 2015), in April 2017 the SOAS University of London will host a fourth international conference examining, documenting and
celebrating camel cultures from around the world.

The conference will address all aspects of camel culture, past, present and future and in all continents. It will deal with both material and cultural concerns, and will cover both Dromedaries and Bactrians, in all continents, but not related species originating in the Americas.

ALL ARE WELCOME TO ATTEND.

Admission is free for SOAS staff, students and academics - but pre-registration is required.

For non-SOAS attendees there will be a small registration charge.

If you wish to attend the conference, please send your contact details to the conference organiser
