With the world shifting politically and economically from North and West to South and East we believe here at SOAS we’re producing graduates perfectly placed to succeed in a changing global environment. These days the demand for intercultural awareness and people skills is growing; through our unique combination of language scholarship, disciplinary expertise and regional focus, SOAS students are exceptionally well equipped to meet these demands.
Our students are specialists in the languages, laws, literature, cultures, customs, economics and politics of Asia, Africa and the Middle East. They are also dynamic and engaged citizens, taking part in a number of extra-curricular activities alongside academic studies. Participation in student societies and student enterprise initiatives is high and there is a thriving culture of volunteering.
SOAS students move on to a variety of sectors and organisations once they have graduated, including city law firms, major banks in the UK and overseas, international development organisations, government offices and charities. SOAS Careers Service prides itself on working with employers on an individual basis to tailor support that meets your needs.
Engaging with our students
We offer employers the opportunity to engage with our students and graduates. We offer a range of excellent opportunities for you to promote your organisation, such as exhibiting at one of our Fairs, hosting a presentation, offering an internship or by advertising a vacancy.
