Careers Service Events
Each year we host a wide and varied range of employer led events, skills sessions, careers fairs and careers themed weeks.
Last year we were delighted to welcome to campus employers including:
- Charity Works
- Teach First
In the academic year 2017 – 2018 our themed weeks will include Languages Week, International Development Week and Business, Finance and Management Week.
We’ve got a lot of exciting employers booked in for these events. We’re delighted and look forward to welcoming on campus employers including:
- Pricewaterhouse Coopers
- Civil Service
- International Committee of the Red Cross
- Bank of England
Based on your feedback we now host a range of alumni led events. Our ‘What I Wish I’d Know While a Student at SOAS’ sessions give a small group of students the opportunity to meet alumni from specific industries and find out more about their career path gaining hints and tips on how to best progress in this career area.
In addition to this we’re also proud to now be running alumni led Mock Interview Workshops. These small group sessions give students the chance to experience all aspects of an interview, by being interviewed and by taking on the role of interviewer on the interview panel, and by completing a set of standard aptitude tests.
To book a place on an event, you will need to click on the event link that takes you to our careers management system, CareersZONE. If it is your first time, you will be redirected to the portal and once in the system you will be asked to update your profile. This will allow you to receive information and opportunities targeted to your current preferences. Please note: you will only need to do this once, and is separate to Careers Registration data that you were asked to complete at enrolment.
