Enterprise is said to be one of the drivers of the current average 6% per annum economic growth being registered by most African economies.

The African Diaspora in the UK continues to contribute to Africa’s economic growth through remittances, direct foreign investment and social capital which have resulted in the creation of a number of Small and Medium Enterprise (SMEs).

The African Diaspora in Scotland is also contributing to strong African economic growth through research and development which is also being conducted by African Diaspora academics in Scottish universities, business schools and African Diaspora businesses in Scotland.

As part of the Africa-UK project funded by Comic Relief, the Centre of African Studies, University of London, in partnership with African Council and NIDO-Scotland, is bringing together experts to a one-day conference.

Places will only be allocated on a first come, first served basis. Please register by sending an email to or calling 0131 243 2753
