Finishes: 21 October 2019Time: 8:30 PM
Venue: Brunei Gallery Room: Brunei Gallery Lecture Theatre
Type of Event: Talk
In a satirical self-help book, Nels Abbey pens the unpopular opinions and unwelcome advice of the (fictional) distinguished professor of White People Studies, Dr. Boulé Whytelaw III, in this telling tale and brilliantly funny book highlighting the daily battles black people face both in the corporate and wider world.
Join Nels in conversation with Channel 4 reporter, Guardian writer and SOAS Alumni, Symeon Brown for an evening exposing the prejudices of the modern workplace. He will be sharing the survival techniques required if you want to play the game and potentially win against the master of the universe: the mediocre White Man.
The book will be available to buy at the end of the event, or if you'd like the chance to win a copy you can get a raffle ticket for £1 each (minimum purchase via Eventbrite is for 2 tickets to be collected on the door).
