The Africa Centre

Both the Centre of African Studies and The Africa Centre have worked to promote Africa’s cultural diversity outside of the continent, for 50 years in London. The Africa Centre serves as a hub to promote creativity and innovation in African art, culture, business and entrepreneurship. The organisation aims to offer the African Diaspora and people interested in Africa a platform for experiencing exciting and engaging events, lectures, discussions and debates of cultural and business interests. These provide ideal venues for networking, socialising and the meeting of other like-minded people and organisations.

Media Representation and Africa: whose money, whose story?

A diverse selection of high-profile speakers drawn from academia and the media industry will address questions of representation, narrative and institutional funding with regards to Africa in the media.Find out more
