At the end of the XX century, parallel with the collapse of empires and the independence of countries, military and political conflicts drove people out of their native lands and houses. Just in the early 1990s, as a result of ethnic conflicts and civil wars, 15 million refugees left their homes.

On February 20, 1988, the tension that began with the separation of the Nagorno-Karabakh Autonomous Region of Azerbaijan SSR from the Azerbaijani SSR again heated up the animocity between Azerbaijan and the Armenian people that had been repeatedly raised between them before.

At the same time as joining in the struggle for independence, 230,000 Azebaijans were expelled from Armenia, 7 districts of the country located around the NKAO were occupied, 47,000 IDPs were displaced from the territory of the NKAO and more than 700,000 people from the surrounding districts.

International organizations – UNHCR, the European Union, the International Committee of the Red Cross and dozens of organizations supported the government of Azerbaijan in order to accommodate and supply IDPs. From 1993 to 2007, 100 thousands of IDPs settled in tents, wagons and digs. But in 2007, all tent camps were abolished in the country.

The film is devoted to the life of IDPs in tent camps, wagons and dormitories, their situation in connection with the transfer to new apartments, the activities of international organizations and the government in the field of improving the housing conditions of IDPs.
