Environmental degradation and biodiversity loss have been recognised as major threats to economic prosperity and financial stability. The protection of ecosystems has consequently received more attention, with growing awareness also in financial markets for the need to account for environmental risks and impacts. Biodiversity finance has become one of the hottest issues in finance. Organised as a side event of the 4th Annual Conference of the Global Research Alliance for Sustainable Finance and Investment (GRASFI), this panel discussion will explore biodiversity finance from a holistic view to discuss recent developments and challenges.

The online event is co-organised by the International Institute of Green Finance at Central University of Finance and Economics (CUFE) and the Centre for Sustainable Finance at SOAS, University of London.
