This summer school is part of the The First London International Guqin Festival 2018.
Building on the success of the London Youlan Qin Society's previous 15 summer schools, they will hold a 4-full day course focusing on guqin music at SOAS, University of London. It will offer a rare opportunity for anyone interested in learning and understanding more about traditional Chinese music and instruments in the UK and beyond. The course will combine seminars, master classes, demonstrations and concerts. It will be open to students at all levels, with a limited number of instruments available for hire. It will be taught by Dr Cheng Yu (SOAS, University of London), Charles Tsua (London Youlan Qin Society), Prof. Zeng Chengwei (Sichuan conservatory of Music) and Zeng He (Sichuan conservatory of Music). There will also be special master classes on two afternoons by Li Xiangting and Prof. Zeng Chengwei.

2-day summer school - £120 (No concessionary rate)
3-day summer school - £180 (No concessionary rate)
4-day summer school - £220 (£200 LYQS members and students) – this includes one concert.
* Students must show a valid student ID card on the day.
Qin hire per day - £10/day

Cancellation and refund policy
Cancellations must be reported in writing to the Conference Manager. Cancellations must be received by 20 August 2018 in which case registration fees will be refunded, less a £10 processing fee. No refund will be given to cancellations received after 20 August 2018.
