Do you think you could write better lecture notes? This session addresses the most common problems encountered by students when listening to lectures and taking notes. It will help you understand the lecture experience in more depth, and draws on participant ideas and suggestions, as well as others put forward by the session leader. Topics include:
- Reflection on how you currently take notes.
- Advice from a SOAS lecturer.
- Before, during and after the lecture.
- Different note-taking methods.
- Common pitfalls.
Although registration is not required, attendance at this workshop operates on a first-come-first-served basis. If the teacher deems that a workshop is full, you will not be admitted. With that in mind, please arrive on time to ensure your place and to avoid disrupting the session.
