Independent Study Project (Turkish Literature)

The Independent study project (ISP) in Turkish literature is a piece of supervised independent work. It may be on any aspect of Turkish literature approved by the appointed tutor. Candidates research their projects, with guidance from the tutor and others as appropriate, during the first two terms and submit their results in the form of an academically acceptable essay.

Objectives and learning outcomes of the module
To enable the student to make an in-depth study of one writer or one group of writers, or of one the major genres of the late 19th and 20th century.
Scope and syllabus
To be agreed by the ISP supervisor and student
Method of assessment
One essay of 10,000 words to be submitted by Friday week 1, term 3.
