Professional Practice Seminar Series

This seminar series invites people engaged in policy-making and practical action to share their experiences and offer insights into working in the international development sector. Common themes include conflict and humanitarian affairs, labour issues, migration, environment, poverty, inequality, aid and development. Speakers are encouraged to present the work that they do, and reflect critically about the challenges they encounter. With many of our guest speakers themselves being SOAS alumni this seminar series is designed to help our students think about - and connect with - careers in development.
The audience is mainly SOAS students and staff, but entrance is free and open to the public. No need to register in advance, you can just turn up. For further information, please contact convenor Dr Richard Axelby (ra39@soas.ac.uk).
