SOAS University of London

This programme was a perfect way for me to take my background in philosophy and apply it to a set of real-world problems, as well as urgent questions of how best to investigate those problems.

This programme was a perfect way for me to take my background in philosophy and apply it to a set of real-world problems, as well as urgent questions of how best to investigate those problems. I was also able to take advantage of the ability to choose optional courses from across development studies and economics at SOAS to gain deeper knowledge of the development issues that interested me most and develop more quantitative skills.

The quality of teaching on the core courses for my degree were a real highlight. In particular, the passion of the teaching of the Battlefields of Method course. If you like the looks of that module, then you will like this programme and enjoy your time at SOAS.

After my masters I landed a job with the Centre for Global Development, a prominent development think tank. I then came back to SOAS to extend work started for my masters dissertation and complete a PhD.
