Science Fiction Beyond the West: Futurity in African and Asian Contexts

This one-day symposium taking place at SOAS is interested in exploring how the futures imagined in African and Asian contexts key into social issues, explore cultural anxieties and experiment with alternative realities and possibilities. Call for papers: Deadline 31 May 2019.

We are excited to announce the launch of the Graduate Support Network, a new initiative being launched by the Careers Service. This network is made up of dedicated online and video resources, workshops, recruitment events and application services for SOAS graduates.

Funded Postgraduate Conference Places – Reimagining Records by the National Archives

Reimagining records is a two-day event that explores new interpretations of medieval crown, court and clergy records. The first day of this event brings together speakers from both UK and international universities for an academic conference. On the second day, postgraduate students and early career researchers are invited to attend a series of hands-on workshops on reconsidering the use of medieval records.
