Giving from the USA

Our US-based donors are welcome to make tax efficient gifts through our Chapel and York US Foundation Donation page.

We are proud to share that through the generosity of our US-based Alumni and friends, we have welcomed our seventh John Loiello AFSOAS FISHL Scholar. The John Loiello AFSOAS FISHL Scholarship was established by the American Friends of SOAS and is named after John Loiello, a founding Board member and benefactor of AFSOAS who sadly passed away in 2013. The purpose of the scholarship is to give an American student the life-changing opportunity to study a full-time, one-year taught Master's programme at SOAS.

In 2021 we are fundraising for a black, US-based student to be our next scholar, in line with SOAS's commitment to nurturing the next generation of black academics.
