Please note that fees are payable in full at enrolment. Tuition fees should be paid in pounds sterling (GBP). A fee payment by instalment option is available to self-funding students undertaking on-campus degree programmes.

Please note that the fees below are per academic year.  The fees go up each year.  2 year full-time programmes have 2 years of full-time fees. 

Some fee rates for students who enrolled on their degrees before 2018/19 are different.  Continuing students on the same degree programme are protected from annual increases higher than 5% - please see the Protected Fee Schedule 2018/19  

The Government has guaranteed EU students, both returning and those starting in the 2018-19 session, that their tuition fees will remain at the Home/EU level for the duration of their programme of study at SOAS.

Students who are formally sponsored or funded by educational loans should provide evidence of funding for the relevant year before enrolment to fees@soas.ac.uk

2 year full-time Programmes with Intensive Languages (including Advanced Chinese; Intensive South Asian Studies; Anthropological Research Methods and Nepali).  Please note that 2 year full-time programmes have 2 years of full-time fees - the fee in the second year will be higher than the fee for the first year (the full time fee below is for the first year only).
