MSc Finance and Financial Law
Originally from China, I completed the MSc Finance and Financial Law programme in 2013, and am currently working in China Taiping Insurance’s London subsidiary. As one of the worlds leading institutions in languages and cultures, SOAS offers you the opportunity to meet individuals with backgrounds from all over the world and use this to leverage your concept and understanding of a truly global world.
The MSc Finance and Financial Law programme at SOAS has key distinctive features compared to other finance programmes at universities in the UK. Apart from the core financial and legal concepts, you are given the opportunity to study courses with particular cultural focus such as the Finance in China module or Islamic Banking and Finance.
I believe that having a thorough understanding of financial concepts combined with specialist knowledge of a particular economy will make you more competitive and more employable than others to employers.
I would recommend the MSc Finance and Financial Law programme at SOAS for those who are interested in both finance and financial law while also wish to compare the differences between jurisdictions. The programme is perfect for those who would like to pursue a career in relation to the emerging economies in the future.
