There will be daily weaving demonstrations by wool weaver, Mahrous Awad (Abdou) and the cotton weaver, Abed Al Shafy Shaban.


Wednesday, 25th January 2006 from 6.30pm to 8.30pm


Two weavers will be working at their looms during this special evening view of the exhibition. There will also be an opportunity to meet members of the Wissa Wassef Family. The special view will be followed at 7.30pm by an illustrated talk by Suzanne Wissa Wassef, daughter of the late Ramses Wissa Wassef and director of one of the groups of weavers known as "the second generation".


Venue: The Brunei Gallery (special view) followed by illustrated talk in The Khalili Theatre, opposite the Gallery (see site map).


Tickets: £10 Early booking is advised as numbers are restricted.
