Bernard Leach was among the first to see pottery as an art form. In the lecture Emmanuel Cooper looks at Bernard Leach's work as an artist, designer and potter and the ideas that informed it.

Thursday 17 October
Emmanuel Cooper, curator of the exhibition, will give an introductory talk about the work of Bernard Leach in Britain and Japan and his work as a 'conduit' between east and west.

Thursday 21 November Edmund de Waal, potter and writer, will discuss Leach's source material and look at how Leach used drawing in his ceramic work.
