SOAS - University of Bergen and SOAS - University of Oslo Dual LLM Programme
SOAS administers a successful Dual LLM Partnership with each of the University of Bergen and the University of Oslo in Norway, facilitating the entry of our partners’ postgraduate law students into the SOAS LLM programme in London.
Through this partnership, University of Bergen and University of Oslo postgraduate law students are eligible to enrol in SOAS’ one-year LLM programme in place of either Year Four or Year Five of their five-year Norwegian LLM programme. Students’ home institutions will then articulate the SOAS LLM into their home degree, with students then graduating with two law degrees – one from either the University of Bergen or Oslo, and one from SOAS.
This partnership programme allows LLM students from our Norwegian partner universities to take up specialised SOAS LLM programmes which may align with academic and professional areas of interest. SOAS LLM programmes for which Bergen and Oslo students may enrol through this partnership include:
- LLM (Master of Laws)
- LLM Environmental Law and Sustainable Development
- LLM Human Rights, Conflict and Justice
- LLM International Commercial and Economic Law
- LLM International Law
- LLM Islamic Law
- LLM Law and Gender
- LLM Law, Development and Globalisation
SOAS is pleased to be able to offer a discount again ordinary international tuition fee rates for Bergen and Oslo students enrolling through the dual LLM partnership. To be eligible, students should be current LLM students at either University of Bergen or University of Oslo, maintaining an average grade of B/C in their current law degree, and should have obtained 4.0 in English language through Norwegian Vitnemal.
