Working Overseas

During the course of their time at many SOAS staff/students will be required to work overseas.
SOAS extends the organisations legal duty of care standards as applied in the UK to those travelling abroad and will provide information, training, support and equipment to minimise the risk to SOAS staff and students as far as is reasonably practicable.
Our Overseas travel policy (found on this page) provides extensive information on best safety practices, a risk assessment template, travel safety and security forms as well as guidance on the safety measures that SOAS require to be in place prior to our staff/students being permitted to travel. There are also links to various helpful organisations such as the Foreign and Commonwealth Office and the World Health Organisation.
