To help improve recruitment and equality of development opportunities at SOAS, a revised staff recruitment and selection policy and new acting up and secondment policies have been developed at SOAS. A revised authorisation process for all staff appointments has also been put in place. All of these new policies and processes taken together will help SOAS achieve its commitment to promoting equality of opportunity in the recruitment of staff. They help managers have due regard for advancing equality and inclusion in the arrangements we make for recruitment and selection, acting up positions and secondments.
