Reward, Grading Review & Academic Promotions


At SOAS, we firmly believe in rewarding our staff for their outstanding contributions to the School. We have various Rewards, Promotions, and Allowance procedures in place to remunerate staff for their work. If you are coming up for promotion or would like to nominate yourself or a colleague for a reward, please review the following procedures.

Consultation on all these policies and procedures has been carried out with the School's recognised trade unions. All these policies and procedures have been agreed with UCU and UNISON.

These various policies and procedures will be updated from time-to-time as required. The School's recognised trade unions will be consulted and invited to comment on any proposed changes to policies or procedures.
