What is the Student Hub?
The Student Hub is here to support you throughout your studies and the team are available to answer your queries about your study at SOAS. Come and speak to our friendly team who can advise you on a range of matters and let you know where to find specialist advice. We can help you with,
- Requesting student letters
- Signing off forms
- Mitigating Circumstances advice
- Finding out about health and wellbeing

How to contact us
Student Hub Appointments
If you prefer to talk to one of us, the Student Hub team are offering 15-minute virtual appointments Monday-Thursday while the in-person services are closed. To book an appointment, please visit My SOAS Student. When booking, please include your student ID number and a brief description of your enquiry.
Can I still come to campus?
Bookable Study Spaces
SOAS is currently providing access to study space and Library services for students in specific circumstances in London. Students also have access to spaces provided by University of London. Bookings must be made at least 24 hours in advance. You will be expected to adhere to strict social distancing guidelines as well as wearing appropriate face coverings at all times.

Please note that while campus is closed, the Hub cannot provide hard copies of letters and the letter will be emailed to you as a PDF.
Student Hub provide letters for confirmation of enrolment, council tax exemption, opening a bank account, completion letters and applying for a Schengen visa. A confirmation of enrolment letter is signed and stamped on headed paper and contains the following information,
- Your personal details
- Name of your degree
- Your programme start and end dates
- Full time or part time study
- Your term time and home address
A completion letter will additionally contain the following,
- When you were awarded your degree
- The overall grade you received for your degree
Please note that the Certificate Letters will not have marks or grades on them. The Hub is not able to provide interim transcripts or letters containing marks. Registry will be able to provide transcripts once marks have been ratified by exam boards after the publication of results. We provide letters for current Undergraduate and Postgraduate degree students and for former students.

The Student Hub is located on the lower ground floor of the Paul Webley Wing in Senate House North Block. Please see map of all SOAS buildings. You can also see the campus virtually, have a look here!
