Please could you get back to me with
-a list of disciplinary cases brought against students in the last 3 academic years (2010-11, 2011-12, 2012-13)
-Details of when and why each case was brought and the surrounding circumstances
-Details of which punishments were given out for each case (i.e. fines, academic sanctions, meetings with senior staff)


2010/11Copying and publishing of music from LibraryAssistant Director of Operations in Library spoke to student and warned them of the consequences. The student promised to take the website down.
2011/12Rude and aggressive toward member of reception staffThe student was contacted but never responded; later established that the student was no longer registered as degree had been terminated.
2011/12Forgery of letter1st stage Oct 2011; 2nd stage December 2011; Appeal March 2012; with OIA; OIA upheld SOAS decision to permanently exclude the student.
2012/13Forgery of letterInterview 20/9/12; student suspended for 6 months, asked to submit a written apology, offence logged on student’s file.
2012/13Damage to library booksInterview 26/2/13; student invoiced for the replacement of damaged books.
