Who can study abroad?

SOAS is known for its global outlook and we are committed to offering our degree students an opportunity to study abroad:

• All of our 4 year undergraduate language programmes include a year abroad in a country where the studied language is spoken.
• LLB Law with Year Abroad students spend a year abroad at one of our partner universities abroad: in Hong Kong, India, Norway, Singapore or Taiwan.
• BA Global Development students can spend a semester studying abroad in Indonesia as part of the Development Studies Immersion Programme.
• Postgraduate students on a degree with an intensive language spend a summer abroad in a country of their relevant language

NEW for undergraduate students joining SOAS in 2023/24:

• All undergraduate students regardless of programme will have the opportunity to apply to study abroad for an academic year at one of our partner institutions.
