Arabic (Modern Standard) Elementary Course

Mode of Attendance: Part-time
A weekday evening course in Modern Standard Arabic for Elementary students who have completed the Beginners level course or its equivalent. The course aims to use Modern Standard Arabic in a range of frequently encountered situations across the four skills: listening, speaking, reading and writing. Having completed the course, students should be able to:
- understand sentences and frequently used expressions related to areas of most immediate relevance (e.g. very basic personal and family information, shopping, local geography, employment).
- communicate in simple and routine tasks requiring a simple and direct exchange of information on familiar and routine matters.
- describe in simple terms aspects of their background, immediate environment and matters in areas of immediate need.
