Burmese Lower Intermediate is designed to take participants on from the first year course, Introduction to Burmese (now renamed Burmese Beginners). Takers will already be able to read and write Burmese script, and be familiar with common sentence patterns and vocabulary. The course begins where the first year ended, and uses simple reading passages and audio recordings to extend students' grammar and vocabulary and provide material for practice in speaking and understanding.

Method

The course is taught in English and Burmese. Class size is limited to fifteen to allow intensive practice.
