Mode of Attendance: Online Learning
Korean Beginners 1 online intensive aims to provide a thorough introduction to basic Korean with the accent on practical spoken Korean; to provide familiarity with the Korean pronunciation and script; coverage of basic grammar and essential vocabulary and the ability to communicate within a limited range of situations.

Method
The course is taught in English and Korean and includes coverage of the four skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing and a good balance between understanding the systems of Korean grammar and vocabulary, developing the skills of comprehending and producing Korean in speech and writing, guided practice in language usage and use and authentic communicative activities.
Our online courses are delivered through a blended learning model: this is composed of 15 hours of live online structured lessons with the teacher, plus a minimum of 5 hours of blended learning. This is a guided independent learning supported by complementary material and regular feedback from the tutor. The course objective will be achieved within the course.

How to Apply
This Korean Beginners 1 course is aimed at complete beginners, no prior knowledge is required. Click here to enrol for Korean Beginners 1 (42882) online intensive. Please note that places are first come first served. Enrolments are taken until the course is fully booked, or up to midnight 17th July, whichever is soonest.
Continuing your study
This Beginners 1 course is equivalent to the 10 week term time Korean Beginners 1 level. Students who complete this may be able to join a Beginners 2 for the term starting October 2022, or a future term at SOAS language centre.
