Fees: Course fees quoted are per term of 10 weeks.
The course aims to cover spoken and written Korean at intermediate level over three 10-week terms. Intermediate level vocabulary, reading and conversation are covered, with the accent on communication within a wide range of social and cultural topics. This course is a logical progression from our Korean Pre-Intermediate level or a course of similar level.

The course is taught in English and Korean and includes coverage of the four skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing and a good balance between understanding the systems of Korean grammar and vocabulary, developing the skills of comprehending and producing Korean in speech and writing, guided practice in language usage and use and authentic communicative activities.

Entry Requirements and Progression Route
To be able to join Korean Intermediate course you should have completed a Korean Pre-Intermediate level course at SOAS Language Centre or have an equivalent knowledge of guided learning hours (approximately 180 hours). The progression route from Korean Intermediate 1 is to Korean Intermediate 2; from Intermediate 2 to Intermediate 3. Upon successful completion of Korean Intermediate 3 you will be able to progress to an Upper Intermediate level course in Korean.
