About this event

Note: Internal event not open to external attendees.

A World Without Cages is the first collection to bring together scholars and activists working to end criminal and immigration detention. Employing an intersectional lens and an impressive variety of case studies, the book asks us to rethink what justice could mean for refugees, citizens, and everyone in between.

  • Authors: Professor Sharry Aiken (Queen’s) and Dr. Stephanie Silverman (Centre for Refugee Studies)
  • Discussants: Prof El Jones César (Mount Saint Vincent) | Prof Cuauhtémoc García Hernández (Moritz Law) | Kate Motluk (Wilfred Laurier)
  • Chair: Professor Bridget Anderson (Bristol)
