SOAS’s Wolfson Gallery located inside the library is currently hosting an exhibition on ‘Narratives of Refugee Memories’ curated by Dr Sanjukta Ghosh (SOAS South Asia Institute). ‘Unlocking SOAS Collections’, the exhibits provide the creative lens to look again at the archives of Partition in 1947 and the post Partition settlement history of displaced people of South Asia and beyond.

A new exhibition, 'Rediscovering Stencl' opens this month in the Wolfson Gallery on level E of SOAS Library. Celebrating the life and work of Abraham Nahum Stencl (known as the Poet of Whitechapel) this exhibition marks the end of a project to digitise and make accessible this important collection of Yiddish-language papers and writings. The exhibition will be launched on June 29th with an exciting programme of live events and private view in the Brunei Gallery Lecture Theatre.

The Librarian and Deputy Keeper of the Queen’s Archives for Royal Collection Trust, a department of the Royal Household, Oliver Urquhart Irvine, has been appointed to the role of Director of Library Services and Librarian at SOAS University of London.
