This page lists the databases available at SOAS, with titles beginning with the letters E-G; for other databases use the letter navigation on the left or go to the A-Z database homepage.
On-campus access is automatic for most databases; and many can be accessed off-campus using your SOAS id and password (the same as you use for SOAS e-mail and computers). Off-campus access is only available to SOAS students and staff; and is available only where there is a link for 'off-campus use'.

Consists of several separate databases, including: Academic Search Premier offers full- text access to more than 4,500 scholarly journals (including more than 3,700 peer-reviewed titles) covering social sciences, humanities, education, language and linguistics, arts & literature, medical sciences, and ethnic studies. In addition to the full-text the database also offers indexing and abstracts for all 8,300 journals in the collection. Business Source Premier offers full- text for more than 2,300 journals. Covers a range of business related disciplines including marketing, management, MIS, POM, accounting, finance and economics. Additional full text, non-journal content includes market research reports, industry reports, country reports, company profiles and SWOT analyses. Communication and Mass Media Complete offers indexing and abstracts for more than more than 640 journal titles titles; and includes includes full-text for 326 journals. The largest resource for the visual study of human culture and behavior. Over 1200 streaming films. Global in scope, it contains footage from every continent and hundreds of unique cultures, and is particularly rich in its coverage of the developing world.

Wherever available, videos include accompanying field notes, liner notes, filmmaker biographies, related articles, study guides, and other context-enhancing, full-text materials. Included are works by world-famous pioneers in the field, including Robert Flaherty (Nanook of the North); John Marshall (The Hunters, the entire Kung Bushman Series, A Kalahari Family); Jean Rouch; Margaret Mead and Gregory Bateson; Robert Gardner (Dead Birds, Rivers of Sand); Timothy Asch, Patsy Asch, and Napoleon Chagnon (the complete Yanomamo Series, The Ax Fight); and Asen Balikci.
