    This is an authoritative guide to works in African studies published under the auspices of the International African Institute annually since 1984.

    Africa Wide-NiPAD [On-campus] [Off-campus]
    Provides single point access to over 40 databases. Records come from books, periodical articles and pamphlets. Databases included are:

    • IBISCUS (1970 to present) a development database on francophone Africa.
    • The Southern African Database (Sardius) (1961-1997) database of 34,000+ annotated records.
    • Index to South African Periodicals (1987-present) covers more than 440 South African periodicals.

    Contains an Africa related news archive; with content from over 100 media organizations.

      This site is managed by the Middle East and Jewish Studies department of Columbia University (US) and is a real mine of information and various useful links on the Middle East. It is strongly backed by academics and seems to be one of the most reliable and effective sites for resources on NME.
    • AL-BAB
      This site provides a collection of articles and outside links on a wide range of topics related to Middle East studies. The site's sections include: country briefings for the 22 members of the Arab League; news; reference; and collections of links and articles on specific topics. Along with coverage of political and economic issues. 
    • MAFHOUM
      Arab World business Information: Provides links to news and media, economy, finance and industry in the Arab World.
    • Middle East Economic Digest Weekly: news, research and analysis for anyone doing business in the countries of the Middle East.
    • Arab Monetary Fund in Abu Dhabi (site in Arabic:  )ﺻﻨﺪق اﻟﻨﻘﺪ اﻟﻌﺮﺑﻲ Provides data on finance and economics in Arabic countries. Click here for the English version.
    • MENAFN : Middle East North Africa Financial Network Provides mainly market news and allows search on financial and economic news headlines concerning the MENA region.
    • Economic Research Forum for the Arab Countries, Iran and Turkey: Site of Cairo University’s Economic Research Forum but which contains useful information.

    • Al-Jazeera (English): an international, multi-award winning news channel with over sixty bureaus around the world that span six different continents. Also available in Arabic.

    • Nikkei Asian Review: Japanese news agency providing pan-Asian business news online.
    • Asia Regional Integration Center Electronic information on Asia's economic and social recovery since mid-1997, including news headlines, policy documents, research papers, statistical indicators, donor assistance strategies and project profiles.
    • eSocial Sciences An online portal produced by south Asian scholars to promote research from India and the South Asian continent. Free registration is required to access some aspects. The site include links to events, working papers, and is a good starting point for finding materials.
    • Pacific Economic Cooperation Council A non- governmental organisation based in Singapore.
    • Vidyanidhi An e-scholarship portal and digital library which is aiming to develop a Online Archive/repository of doctoral theses and dissertations submitted to Indian Universities.
