Databases for South Asia
SOAS Library provides access to many databases which support research into South Asia.
SOAS students and staff can cross-search a range of South Asia related databases via EBSCO Dicovery.

- Bibliography of Asian Studies [on or off-campus]
An index of Western language monographs, journal articles, book chapters, conference proceedings, anthologies and Festschriften on all parts of Asia published since 1971. Links to full-text are available via SFX. Available to all Library users on-campus, and SOAS students/staff only off-campus.
- JSTOR - Asian Studies [on-campus] [off-campus]
Includes: Economic and Political Weekly, India International Centre Quarterly International, Journal of Hindu Studies, Journal of the Royal Asiatic Society, Modern Asian Studies, Pakistan Economic and Social Review.
Available to all Library users on-campus, and SOAS students/staff only off-campus. SOAS Alumni can also register for off-campus access via http://soasalumni.org/
- Manupatra [on-campus only]
Manupatra includes case laws of the Supreme Court and High Courts of India across all subjects, orders of tribunals and commissions, Central Bare Acts (including various States Acts) and rules, regulations, schemes and orders. Available to all Library users on-campus.
- Proquest -The Times of India (1838-2003) [on or off-campus]
Provides access to historical local, regional and national news for publications including The Bombay Times, Journal of Commerce and the Bombay Times and Standard. Easily searchable, spanning centuries of historical and political events.
Available to all Library users on-campus, and SOAS students/staff only off-campus.
