Please note: To apply for membership, Birkbeck staff and PG applicants must bring a valid SCONUL Access approval email (printout or proof via e-device is acceptable) and their ID cards. Birkbeck UG students must bring the University of London UG Access Form (pdf; 64kb)   and their ID card.

All other University of London colleges

  • You can apply immediately on arrival at the Library

Please note that University of London International students will need to produce a valid UoL Photo ID with an expiry date in order to be considered for membership.

To obtain a membership form you can:
  • Download as a PDF file   (you will need a PDF viewer such as Adobe Acrobat to view).
  • Pick one up from the Membership Desk in the Library
  • Request one by e-mail readerservices@soas.ac.uk
